Few hours ago a website reported that the ill former minister of information and communication, Professor Dora Akunyili has passed on, eliciting messages of “RIP” on the social media, but fresh reports from TheCable revealed that the former director-general of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) is alive and her family are “very baffled” by persistent rumours of her death.
A family member who – declined to be named– spoke with TheCable said, “She is not dead,” “It’s appearing to us that while many people are genuinely concerned about her health, some are actually wishing her dead. We cannot understand the motive.”
He told TheCable that the family is “baffled” by the unrelenting rumours.
