Former NAFDAC Boss Prof. Dora Akunyili Dies Aged 60.
Reports going round have it that Prof. Dora Akunyili passed on today, this however unconfirmed as this is not the first time such news has been peddled especially via various social media platforms. The rumours were sparked off following pictures of her circling the internet showing a sickly Dora looking nothing like her former glorious self with subsequent information revealing she was battling cancer. it is hoped that this unconfirmed report just like the others is false.

50Cents Calls Diddy a "SUCKER", Describes Former Label Mates YaYo and Lloyd Banks As Weeds.
50 Cent shares some thoughts on Diddy, his Interscope departure, his relationship with his son and more.
50 Cent, always the outspoken rapper, shared his thoughts on Diddy in a recent interview with GQ, which he managed to sum up neatly into one very short sentence.
Fif said of Puff Daddy: "He’s a sucker." There was no further elaboration of what the rapper meant by his comment, in fact, according to the GQ interviewer, the comment came rather out of the blue. Through out the interview with GQ, 50 Cent also spoke on his departure from Interscope, sharing some insight on why he left. "When people couldn't care less about you actually being successful," he told the magazine, "you can feel it."
He also shed some light on his relationship with his son, which he says is no more. "Me and my son, we don’t have a relationship anymore," the rapper revealed, laying the blame on his baby mama. "It’s based on his mom. He’s adopted her way of thinking. I don’t have anything negative around the concept of kids."
Finally, Fif touches on another topic that's been circulating lately: his former G-Unit pals Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks and Young Buck. He compares their situation to that of a plant: "If you spent ten years watering it, it'd fucking grow." And if it didn't? "Doesn't that tell you you need to get new seeds? Fuck this. New seeds—let's do something different now." He added, "I enabled these guys."

TMZ reports that T.I. approached Floyd Mayweather Jr. at a Fatburger in Las Vegas and took a swing at him.
On the list of people you should pick fights with, boxing great Floyd Mayweather Jr. is certainly near the bottom, if not off the charts. Apparently that didn't stop T.I. from picking a fight with him early this morning, as the two set off a brawl that involved throwing chairs in a Fatburger on the Las Vegas Strip.
According to TMZ, Mayweather was eating at the restaurant when T.I. approached him and began "jawing" at him. One thing led to another, with T.I. throwing a punch, bodyguards jumping in to intervene and an all-out brawl being started. Police arrived just as Maywether was leaving, and after T.I. had already left, but found another man injured with a "slash" wound from the incident.
The video shared by TMZ (below) is low-quality and details are difficult to make out, but DDotOmen reports that the fight may have had something to do with Tiny, T.I.'s wife.

3 Die As Suicide Bomber Attacks Champions League Viewing Center In Jos
Jos (Nigeria) (AFP) - At least three people were killed on Saturday in the central Nigerian city of Jos in an explosion targeting football fans watching the European Champions League final, the authorities said.
The blast came just days after a twin car bomb attack ripped through a crowded market in the city, killing 118 and raising fears of a spread of Boko Haram Islamist violence from the restive northeast.
"So far, we have three dead, three injured," Chris Olakpe, the commissioner of police for Plateau state, of which Jos is the capital, told AFP.
"The target was the (football) viewing centre."
Olakpe said it was too early to say who may have been responsible for the blast, which came with people on edge and nerves frayed about a fresh strike.
The police chief also declined to comment on reports that the explosion was a suicide bombing but revealed that the bomber's improvised explosive device went off prematurely.
"He died in the wake of the heinous crime. He was consumed by his IED. It exploded before the viewing centre because of pressure from local youths and the alertness of the local people," he added.
Pam Ayuba, spokesman for the Plateau state governor Jonah Jang, said the blast happened at about 9:30 pm (2030 GMT) on Bauchi Road, a predominantly Muslim area of the city.
Football is Nigeria's national sport and top European teams, particularly from the English Premier League but also Spain's top flight, have a fanatical following.
Spanish giants Real Madrid took the Champions League title on Saturday.
So-called football "viewing centres" -- often open air, big screen venues -- have been targeted before, elsewhere in Nigeria.
Last month, suspected Boko Haram gunmen stormed a packed venue in Potiskum, northeast Yobe state, and shot dead two people showing the two Champions League quarter-final matches.
Police at the time did not directly blame Boko Haram for the attack but the group has been known for preaching against football as part of its agenda to impose strict Islamic law in northern Nigeria.
In several video clips, Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau has described football and music as a Western ploy to distract Muslims from their religion.
Tuesday's bombings in Jos -- Nigeria's deadliest -- came despite the government's internationally backed security crackdown after the militant group kidnapped more than 200 schoolgirls last month.
Jos is the capital of Plateau state, which falls in Nigeria's so-called Middle Belt, where the mainly Christian south meets the Muslim-majority north, and has seen deadly sectarian clashes in the past.
Boko Haram has also previously attacked the religiously divided city.
Analysts said the blasts earlier this week indicated Boko Haram was extending its reach beyond the northeast, which has borne the brunt of the violence in the increasingly bloody five-year insurgency.

Beats Co Founder Sues Dr Dre, Wants His Slice Of The Billion.
Recently, Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine both became billionaires after their Beats Entertainment company was bought by Apple for $3.2 billion, but as anyone who's been watching HBO's Silicon Valley knows, there are always those who think they deserve a piece of that new money pie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dre and Iovine are being sued by hedge-fund manager Steven Lamar, who claims that he is one of the company's co-founders and deserves four percent of its profits.
Lamar says in 2006, when he was the president of SLS International (another audio equipment company), he had the idea of celebrity-endorsed headphones, which he took to Iovine, the co-founder of Interscope Records. According to Lamar's suit:
“Lamar’s concept envisioned a partnership between technology that would provide a superior audio experience and an iconic product design and brand identity promoted by a well-known and respected music artist. Iovine proposed that Dre be the celebrity musical artist to endorse the headphones.”
Lamar also claims that he introduced Iovine to people at Apple in 2006, with the hopes of getting the headphones distributed at Apple stores. When Iovine decided to go with Monster LLC as the distributor, a contract was drawn up that gave Dre and Iovine 20 percent of royalties and Lamar five percent. After a short, relatively inconsequential suit later in 2006, Lamar's share was cut to four percent.
As the suit now stands, Lamar is alleging that he hasn't gotten any money from his partnership with Beats, saying that Dre and Iovine breached the terms of their settlement agreement.

Mase bans his wife, Twyla Betha, from their church's pulpit following an incident of driving under the influence.
Back in April we reported on how Pastor Mase and his wife Twyla Betha were filing for a divorce. While the legal battles between the once-couple continues, Mase has decided to ban Twyla from their church's pulpit following a drunk driving incident.
Twyla Betha was arrested last month for driving under the influence, and she pled guilty. She blew a .14, which is twice the legal limit. TMZ now reports that Mase banned her from the church, considering her an embarrassment, and apparently the church elders and parishioners agree with the ban. They consider Twyla a hypocrite because she previously preached that drunkenness is a sin. This is strange considering Mase was recently accused by the same church (?) of leading a double life, now that's he back in the rap game. On a related note, Mase is also battling a lawsuit from a model for using her image without her permission on his new single artwork.

Did TuPac Really Say This Before. Dying?
It’s hard to believe that this upcoming September will mark the 18-year anniversary that Tupac Shakur was shot and killed in Las Vegas, Nevada. After all these years, details still remain unknown about the case or investigation.
Today retired Las Vegas police officer Chris Carroll decided to speak up about that night, and what he remembers being the first officer to respond on the scene. Carroll was patrolling the grounds on his bike when he received the call of gunfire near the intersection of Flamingo and Koval around 11:15 p.m. According to Carroll, when he initially attempted to get Tupac to reveal the identity of his shooter, ‘Pac was too busy “trying to yell at Suge”.
Carroll tells Vegas Seven,
"So I’m looking at Tupac, and he’s trying to yell back at Suge, and I’m asking him, ‘Who shot you? What happened? Who did it?’ And he was just kind of ignoring me. He was making eye contact with me here and there, but he’s trying to yell at Suge. And I kept asking over and over, ‘Who did this? Who shot you?’ And he basically kept ignoring me. And then I saw in his face, in his movements, all of a sudden in the snap of a finger, he changed. And he went from struggling to speak, being noncooperative, to an ‘I’m at peace’ type of thing. Just like that."
Carroll then details the last words Tupac uttered before he started gurgling and slipping out of consciousness:
"He looked at me and he took a breath to get the words out, and he opened his mouth, and I thought I was actually going to get some cooperation. And then the words came out: ‘Fuck you'."

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin, Prof. Godwin Oshodin, has been flown to a London hospital in the United Kingdom following an alleged food poising he suffered few months ago.
According to a report, Professor Oshodin had raised an alarm over alleged plan to assassinate him by some members of staff of the university, who were laid off early this year by the Governing Council of the university over improper conduct.
According to a family source, the professor of education was flown abroad last weekend as all efforts to eject the poison from his system in Nigerian hospital proved abortive.
Meanwhile, a Benin socio-cultural organization, Benin National Congress BNC, it would do all it takes to expose the perpetrators. While calling on security agencies to apprehend and prosecute the erring hands, the group said it might resort to self-help if nothing is done.
In a statement by its Director of Publicity, Dr David Ekomwenrenren, the group said, “Let it be known that as soon as we confirm the masterminds of these attempted homicide; we may resort to jungle means to avenge this anti-Benin affront on the psyche and land of our great ancestors.
“For 40 years, we were deprived the chance of producing a Vice-Chancellor in the University of Benin. Now, we got one by divine grace, they want to kill him by cruel means. The man has been flown abroad for poison-related issues.

Yasiin Bey aka Mos Def has been barred from entering the United States, and thus cancels his upcoming tour dates.
Although Yasiin Bey, formerly known as Mos Def, was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, the rapper-turn-activist has since planted his feet in many different parts of the world, more recently, he's resided in South Africa. In mid-January he put on a concert streamed live from Africa as part of a new initiative "The Time Is Always Now." It appears now is not the time for Yasiin's American tour, which we've learned today has been cancelled.
Bey was scheduled to tour the U.S. for a series of dates, which were supposed to kick off last week in Boston. However a statement was issued on Bey's behalf which cites immigration/legal issues, saying that the rapper is barred from entering the U.S. at this time.
"We regret to inform you that due to immigration / legal issues Yasiin Bey is unable to enter back into the United States and his upcoming U.S. tour has been canceled, including May 15th, Together Boston's show at The Wilbur Theater. Individual ticket refunds for this show are available at point of sale," the statement reads.
We do not know for sure what the immigration/legal issues pertain to, however some hypothesize that Yasiin gave up his American citizenship to make the move to South Africa, or perhaps his strong views against American hostage policies could be the reason.

Russia's Dmitry Rybolovlev, 47, earned the dubious honor when Geneva, Switzerland's Court of First Instance last week ordered the 47-year-old billionaire to pay his wife, Elena, about 4 billion Swiss francs, according to CNN's French affiliate BFM.
That's a little more than $4.5 billion (little being a relative term). The couple was married for 23 years but have been engaged in divorce proceedings since 2008, BFM reported, citing the Swiss daily newspaper Le Temps. Rybolovlev, who owns the French soccer team AS Monaco, which finished second in Ligue 1 this season, is No. 148 on Forbes' list of billionaires. His estimated worth is $8.8 billion, according to Forbes.
Known lately for real estate moves -- including the purchases of a $300 million penthouse in Monaco and a $98 million Palm Beach, Florida, mansion owned by Donald Trump, along with his daughter's purchases of an $88 million New York apartment and the Greek island of Skorpios -- Rybolovlev made his original fortune in fertilizer, according to Forbes. He and his father, a scientist, started their business in 1990, and Rybolovlev began buying shares of industrial enterprises in 1992, Forbes reported. Two Explosion Rock GSM Market In Jos
According to the Nation Newspaper, the heavy explosion was heard at about 2:55pm Tuesday afternoon, May 20.
At the same time SaharaReporters wrote that two explosions rocked the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) area inside the terminus market.
Casualties is said to be high because the explosion happened at a densely populated areas of Ahmadu Bello Way where the GSM market is located.
Sound of the explosion was heard in Bukuru, which is about 20km from Jos city.
Details of casualties not yet known as security agencies had condoned off the areas and rescue operation is ongoing.

The blast is said to have occurred around 9.30pm on Sunday evening.

Christ Bearer, who cut off his penis and attempted suicide last month, has revealed that contrary to reports, his penis has been successfully reattached.
A horrific story broke last month, in which Wu-Tang affiliated rapper Christ Bearer severed his penis and jumped from a second story Balcony in New York. There were multiple accounts of the situation-- some claiming he was completely sober, and others suggesting he was high on PCP.
Last we heard, the rapper was in stable condition, but doctors were unable to surgically reattach his penis.
The rapper has now done his first interview since the traumatic event, where he revealed that his penis has in fact been restored to full functionality-- though he apparently won't be able to have children.
The Wu rapper explained that he began to feel lonely and depressed when restraining orders made it impossible for him to see his two children (he also had a third on the way).
According to Christ Bearer, he began smoking weed and reading a book on monks and vasectomies when he seemingly had a mental breakdown-- trying to perform the procedure on himself.
On his status with the Wu Tang Clan, the rapper replied with "I am the fucking Wu Tang."

Man City only a point away from Victory; while Liverpool hoping. for last day miracle.
Manuel Pellegrini's City side will be champions if they draw or win their home game against West Ham.
Liverpool - in the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster - can clinch their first league title since 1990 by beating Newcastle if City lose.
At the bottom, Norwich will be relegated even if they beat Arsenal.
The Canaries can finish level on points with West Brom if they beat the Gunners and Albion lose at home to Stoke, but Neil Adams's side would require a 17-goal swing in goal difference to prevent a return to the Championship.
For Liverpool, it looks set to be a disappointing end to an otherwise brilliant season. Brendan Rodgers's side finished in seventh place last season, 28 points behind champions Manchester United, but they were favourites to win the title as recently as two weeks ago.
A run of 11 straight wins had put the Reds on top, but after a slip from captain Steven Gerrard, Chelsea won 2-0 at Anfield to put City back in control.

Just moments after claiming that children need more positive role models in the same interview with PopCandiesTV, the Death Row mogul threatened violence on Rick Ross. The two have had beef in the past stemming from Ross recording a verse on "Tupac Back" despite being affiliated with Diddy, whom Suge also believes is directly responsible for Pac's murder. Now, the beef has taken a strange turn with Suge mocking Ross's facial hair. “Rick Ross, you know you owe that bread titty man. I’m gonna beat the dog shit out of you,” said Suge. “I’m the first nigga [that] had the bald head and the beard from ‘Bompton’.” Knight continued, “I got a show, "It Ain’t Smart Being Stupid." Man froze mother's body for 3 years
(CNN) - Jon Whiteford had a secret so macabre, that when a Kentucky sheriff's deputy showed up to question him about it, he pulled out a handgun and killed himself.
About three years ago, he deep-froze the body of his mother, Faye Whiteford, law officers said.
They don't think he killed her. She appears to have died of natural causes at the age of 96 in spring of 2011, Pulaski County Sheriff's Office said in a statement Thursday.
Since Jon Whiteford is dead, there are no charges against him.
But law officers want to know what he can no longer tell them so they can complete the puzzle of what happened to Faye Whiteford's body from the time of her death until they found her remains this April -- tied up in tarp in the yard of a ramshackle home.
The picture they have painted so far based on conversations with witnesses and acquaintances has the makings of the stuff of a grotesque novel.
Behind the 8-ball
As Faye Whiteford lay bedridden in their home in Science Hill for the last years of her life, her son sunk into a financial morass.
He took care of her but was also dependent upon her Social Security and retirement benefits.
When she died, he didn't want to lose that income, the sheriff's office said. So he concealed her death and postponed her funeral.

One things for sure though cos right now I know Pharrel is happy and I hope Ceelo is too.
Usher Raymond Reveals there'll be a Chris Brown Collabo in up ccoming. Album Chris Brown may be locked up, but his presence in the R&B game is still strong. The singer's Ty Dolla $ign-penned track, "Loyal" is currently tearing up the clubs, and even got the full video treatment. One of many cameos in the clip is from Usher, who revealed in a recent interview that he and Chris will have a collaboration on his new album.

The-Dream does not come across as the most violent person, at least in his music, which is mainly about love and baby-making, however there are some heavy claims coming from his baby mama right now that allege the r'n'b singer was abusive to her.
The NYPD are currently looking for the hitmaker, following claims from his ex-girlfriend and mother of his son, Lydia Nam. Nam says that in April 2013 at the Plaza Hotel, while she was still pregnant with their son, Terius Nash punched, kicked and strangled his girl. Dream insists these allegations are false.
For some reason, Nam only filed a police report about the alleged assault in November, and it's unclear if she ever received any medical attention. The police are currently looking for the producer to question him about the incident.
According to law enforcement sources, Nam filed similar domestic abuse allegations last June in Newport Beach, CA, however, she refused to press charges so the D.A. dropped the case.
